Schollmayer Holz GmbH is a family-owned company in its sixth generation, specializing in the processing of high-quality wood products. With around 40 employees, we process approximately 30,000 cubic meters of wood annually on a 5,000-square-meter production site in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg. Our core expertise lies in manufacturing toe boards and wooden floors for system scaffolding.

Sustainability is an integral part of our philosophy: Since 2020, we have been CO₂-neutral and generate 720,000 kWh of electricity annually through photovoltaic systems. Thanks to our modern production facilities, digitalization, and a strong team, we offer our customers fast and customized solutions. With this expertise, we are your reliable partner for high-quality and sustainable wood products.

The sixth generation takes over: Our current Managing Director, Daniel Schollmayer, joins the family business.

2004

A major step for the company – relocation to a new site in Gustavsburg.

1995

A pivotal year! The business of toe boards and wooden floors was booming, as were our industrial services for the automotive industry. We decided to restructure our business areas, founding subsidiaries for industrial services while refocusing Schollmayer Holz on toe boards and wooden floors. At the same time, we closed our sawmill.

1985

The core of our current business was added to our portfolio in the mid-1980s – laminated scaffolding components for the construction industry.

1976

Franz Schollmayer joins the company.

1966

Tragedy strikes: Seppel Schollmayer loses his life in a traffic accident. In the same year, a new sawmill is built.

1963

Seppel Schollmayer also joins the company.

1960

Michael and Josef pass the leadership of our family business to Georg Schollmayer, who shapes nearly three decades of Schollmayer Holz.

1950

From the mid-20th century, we began producing CKD (Completely Knocked Down) packaging for the automotive industry. As business flourished until 1960, we built a chipboard production facility.

1925

A pioneering step into the automotive industry: Michael, Josef, and Valentin Schollmayer begin manufacturing wooden car seats for the OPEL plant in Rüsselsheim. To this day, our sister company ALC continues to provide various industrial services for the automotive sector.

1924

Disaster at Schollmayer: A massive fire destroys almost the entire operation. However, our ancestors quickly regroup and build a modern sawmill with a construction and furniture workshop. Looking ahead, they seize a groundbreaking opportunity...

1921

The next generation takes the helm: Michael, Josef (1921 - 1963), and Valentin Schollmayer (1921 - 1941) take over from Georg Hartmann Schollmayer as a three-person leadership team. The Great Depression poses significant challenges for the three brothers.

1904

Relocation and inauguration of the new company premises at the Kostheim rafting harbor – along with an expansion of the carpentry workshop and the construction of the sawmill.

1886

Georg Hartmann Schollmayer takes over the company’s management, successfully guiding it through World War I and into the beginning of the Roaring Twenties.

1853

Georg Schollmayer founds Gg. H. Schollmayer KG as a traditional furniture and construction carpentry business. With his passion for wood, he lays the foundation for our family company – a legacy that continues to drive us today.

Ein bewegtes Jahr! Das Geschäft mit Bordbrettern und Holzböden lief extrem gut. Auch die Industriedienstleistungen in der Autoindustrie florierten. Wir entschieden uns für eine Neustrukturierung der Geschäftsbereiche, gründeten Tochtergesellschaften für die Industriedienstleistungen, konzentrierten uns bei Schollmayer Holz fortan auf Bordbretter sowie Holzböden und schlossen das Sägewerk.

1985

Den Kern unseres heutigen Geschäfts haben wir Mitte der 1980er ins Portfolio aufgenommen – verleimte Gerüstbauteile für die Bauindustrie

1976

Franz Schollmayer steigt in das Unternehmen ein.

1966

Seppel Schollmayer kommt bei einem Verkehrsunfall tragisch ums Leben. Im selben Jahr wird ein neues Sägewerk errichtet.

Michael und Josef übergeben die Verantwortung für unser Familienunternehmen an Georg Schollmayer – er prägt eine knapp dreissigjährige Ära von Schollmayer Holz

1950

Ab Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts beginnen wir damit, CKD Verpackungen für die Autoindustrie zu fertigen – in der Aufschwungphase bis 1960 wird dafür eine Spanplattenanlage errichtet

1925

Mit der Fertigung von Autositzen aus Holz für das OPEL Werk in Rüsselsheim gehen Michael Josef und Valentin Schollmayer einen wegweisenden Schritt in Richtung Automobilindustrie – mit unserem Schwesterunternehmen ALC übernehmen wir bis heute zahlreiche Industriedienstleistungen für die Branche

1924

Katastrophenalarm bei Schollmayer: Bei einem Großbrand wird nahezu der komplette Betrieb vernichtet – doch unsere Vorfahren fangen sich schnell gefangen und bauen ein modernes Sägewerk mit Bau- und Möbelschreinerei. Sie blicken nach vorne und ergreifen darüber hinaus eine wegweisende Chance...

1921

Mit Michael, Josef (1921 - 1963) und Valentin Schollmayer (1921 - 1941) setzt sich die nächste Generation ans Steuer – als Dreifachspitze übernehmen sie den Staffelstab von Georg Hartmann Schollmayer. Die Weltwirtschaftskrise macht den drei Brüdern schwer zu schaffen.

1904

Umzug und Einweihung des neuen Firmengeländes am Kostheimer Floßhafen – damit einher ging der Ausbau der Schreinerei und die Errichtung des Sägewerks.

1886

Georg Hartmann Schollmayer übernimmt die Geschäftsführung unseres Unternehmens und führt es erfolgreich durch den Ersten Weltkrieg bis zum Beginn der Goldenen 20iger

1853

Georg Schollmayer gründet die Firma Gg. H. Schollmayer KG als klassische Möbel- und Bauschreinerei: Mit seiner Leidenschaft für Holz legt er den Grundstein für unser Familienunternehmen – sie trägt uns bis heute.
